A14 Road closures

National Highways Agency has informed the Parish Council of two sets of works on the A14:

A14 Grand Union Canal drainage surveys

I’m writing to inform you of some upcoming essential drainage surveys on the A14 between M1 junction 19 and A14 junction 1. These surveys will inform our future works to provide a safer carriageway for road users.

We’ll be carrying out work overnight, between 8pm and 6am, from 15 November to 23 November.

In order to carry out this work safely, we’ll install full weekend closures on the A14 from M1 junction 19 to A14 junction 1.

Full eastbound closure – 15 November to 16 November
Full westbound closure – 22 November to 23 November
During the closures, a fully signed diversion will be in place. Access for emergency service vehicles will be maintained throughout.

We’ll make every effort to ensure the impact on the local community and travelling public is kept to a minimum. We always aim to work to the programme, however unforeseen circumstances or adverse weather conditions may mean changes.

Please accept our apologies in advance for any inconvenience this may cause.
